People have to start somewhere.
Most of us have undeveloped gifts which God wants to develop and use, but sometimes we can beat ourselves up or be disappointed in ourselves or compare ourselves with others because we sang a wrong note or wrote a cheesy line, or splashed some paint in the wrong place.
We may measure our achievement in an unrealistic way, comparing the first songs we write with the well-known brand that have been writing songs for years – or comparing ourselves with someone that has just won that talent show!
We have to start somewhere and we need to encourage one another in our humble beginnings as we start to develop the giftings God has given.
We also need to give opportunity for people to develop those giftings. This involves taking risks and sometimes clearing up the mess – but it also releases, develops and grows people for kingdom purposes.
